What Causes Headaches Along With Ringing And Pressure In Ears?

Hi. I recently had a cervical herniated disc injury, and for about 3 months I have been experiencing not only headaches, but also ringing and pressure in ears, as well as a rapid pulse rate every now and then. I went to my local doctor and they checked everything save an MRI. And they told me it was partly due to anxiety attacks. So I tried yoga and other natural methods to relieve anxiety, but the symptoms are still there. Is it possible that there is something worse going on? P.s. i also am 330 lbs and diabetic if that may be a reason.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of headaches along with ringing and pressure in ears. Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as Meniere's disease . Meniere’s disease is a disorder that affects the inner ear, which is result of abnormal volume or composition of fluid in the inner ear. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may order tests like audiometry test , electronystagmography test and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP) testing to confirm the diagnosis and rule out condition like acoustic neuroma and otitis media . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , steroids , anti emetic drug and meniett device . Avoid excessive salt intake and caffeine .
