What Causes Headaches Along With Sensitivity To Hearing And Slurred Speech?

There are times where I may get a headache that comes on without warning. Noise is hard on me. I get to where I almost pass out. I am aware of my surroundings but can t do much. My speech is slurred and shuddering. There has been times where I pass out where I am. I have been to the DR where the doctor told my then husband it was all in my head. The ENT doctors didn t know, neither did my family doctor. I think it has to be neurological. Any suggestions.

Meniere’s disease is a disorder that affects the inner ear. Meniere's disease is the result of the abnormal volume or composition of fluid in the inner ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order tests like audiometry test , electronystagmography test and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP) testing to confirm the diagnosis and rule out condition like acoustic neuroma and otitis media . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , steroids , antiemetic drug and meniett device . Avoid excessive salt intake and caffeine . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for migraine or cardiologist for stroke like condition .
