What Causes Headaches Along With Vomiting And Fluctuating Body Temperature?

I ve had a headache/migraine off and on for 10 days, threw up two days, head has been super hot and body fluctuates hot and cold, but no recorded fever. Had blood work done in urgent care, slight elevation in neutrophil cells is what I am told. Suggested to get in contact with a Primary Care physician(I don t have one currently) to get more detailed blood work done. Can I afford to be patient and do that, or should I go to the ER to get it done faster?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for trusting healthcaremagic for your health problems.

If you are a patient of migraine then headache and vomiting is caused by it.
For acute migraine attack -
Tablet paracetamol + caffeine or Tablet Ibuprofen.
If these are not working - try Tablet almotriptan.

For preventing further attacks (prophylaxis)
multiple options are there like valproate, flunarizine, propranolol, topiramate, amitryptiline etc.
Usually it is started with single drug and dose titrated in case of non response. If maximum dose of single drug is still not working then another drug is added.
For this you have to consult physician.

Regards
