General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a physician, I would like to tell you that breakthrough bleeding in between two menstrual cycles is a serious matter of concern. As it could be due to vaginal lacerations, polyp or side effect of oral contraceptive pills. Thus, I would suggest that you should visit a consulting Obgy doctor as soon as possible to get the exact diagnosis done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
