What Causes Headaches And Joint Pain In A Teenanger?

My 16 year old son has been complaining about headaches for about a year now. He recently started complaining about joint pains in his fingers, thigh pains and sensitivity to light and sound. He has recently been to an eye doctor (for the headaches). According to the Optometrist, his slight change in vision over the year shouldn t cause severe headaches. He has also been to a Neurologist recently, who found nothing wrong. He has a physical scheduled in a couple of weeks (first available) but not sure he can wait that long. His complaints are getting worse by the day and he says OTC aren t helping with the headaches.

Hello,

The symptoms 4yourson seem to be related to migraine.

I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend avoiding factors that can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
