What Causes Headaches And Nausea While On Lamotrigine?

Should I be worried about my daughter? She had a stroke in July 2015 and a related seizure in December 2016. She takes lamotrigine to prevent another seizure. After a busy weekend, she has headache and nausea. She was then fine for a few hours and now feels ill again. Headache but not sharp pain like the stroke. Could it just be a bug?

Hi
Headache and nausea could be due to exhaustion over the weekend too. But one of the common side effect of lamotrigene is headache. But headache due to lamotrigene abates over some period.
I would advise you to visit your doctor if the headache and nausea is severe and persistent. I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic.
