What Causes Headaches And Stinging Sensation In The Eyes?

I have been getting a mild headache and scalp sensitivity with a stinging in my right eye. It radiates down into my right nostril in which it turns into an open sore with a scab inside my nose. I think it is a type of herpies symplex which I have had off and on for over 20 years. My lip swells up and scabs form. I do take Acyclovere when the Herpies attack occure s but this is new situation is a rare occurence and I am unsure if I should be taking the drug?

Hi,

You are prescribed medications for HSV, Herpes Simplex (Acyclovir), do continue to take the medication. It looks like you are in quite an immuno-compromised condition. The infection is spreading to the facial parts(eye/nose) and causing the swelling in the lips, headache and stinging sensation in the eye. No worries, report to your treating doctor for you require certain nerve blocks & stronger medications to prevent the spread of infection.

In the meantime take Amoxycillin, thrice daily after food. You can apply ointment Neomycin Sulphate for the blisters/sores. Take vitamin supplements with minerals. Take nourishing food and stay away from stress, get treated without delay.

Hope I have answered your query.
