My teen daughter fell and hit her head at camp this past Tues morning. She wasn t treated/seen at hospital. She never lost consciousness. A counselor who is a nurse gave her a bag of ice about an hour after the injury. I didn t find out about it until after midnight that night and got a doctor , who was also a counselor there to check her out the next day when I could get hold of the director. (24 hours later after injury). He said that she was ok and was showing signs of a minor concussion. They kept her indoors and restricted from activity for the rest of the week. She has had a headache ever since, but has been getting somewhat better each day. Tonight she got in the pool with the family and was floating around. She felt back to normal so started playing , splashing and spinning around with her little brother. Still felt ok. Then we spotted a copperhead on the fence near the pool. My husband got the gun and shot rat shot at him twice. Less than 10 mins later, we spotted another one! Several more shots later , this one was further away and rat shot wasn t killing it, my husband got the shot gun. 3 shot gun shots later and snake is dead. Less than 10 mins later, our daughter is spacing out, not responsive when we call her name, can hardly stand or walk, complaining of ears ringing and headache. I m worried that the noise blast from the guns or the splashing around in the pool has somehow re-triggered the concussion. Is that even possible? She also suffers from vagal responses so I m guessing if it s not the concussion, it could be one of those. Either way, husband is on the way to ER with her. Anyway, this popped up when I was trying to search so I thought I would reach out. Is there anything we should ask them?
