What Causes Headaches At The Back Of The Head?

HI, I have had headaches off and on for last month. I feel the pain mostly on the back of my head on the right side. I have not had any injuries or traumas to the head. It comes and goes. I ve tried to track when I feel them the most. I feel them mostly when I m seated. I also feel them when I m not distracted by other things. During the work day, I ll stand and not feel them and being involved during meetings (being distracted) I won t notice them either.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Tension headaches are dull pain, tightness, or pressure around your forehead or the back of your head and neck. Some people say it feels like a clamp squeezing the skull. Often called stress headaches, they're the most common type for adults. Do consult a doctor for proper diagnosis
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand
