What Causes Headaches, Nausea And Muscle Spasms While On Citalopram?

I am taking 20 mg of citalopram daily, and have been taking phentermine 37.5mg daily for about 2 months. I am not feeling very well, could I be experiencing serotonin syndrome? I have been getting the chills, and then sweating...having headaches, muscle spasms, and nausea and diarhhea

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to serotonin syndrome.

Serotonin syndrome can occur if you are taking medications, particularly antidepressants that affect the body's level of serotonin.

I suggest you to stop using Citalopram.

I also recommend you to see your doctor for further evaluation and specific treatment.
