What Causes Headaches Only On The Left Side Of The Head?

Hi, I m suffering from headache in my half portion of my head usually on left side. Daily when I rise up I feel that pain continuously for 2-3 hours. I m doing 7-8 hours work on computer I m using specs as my eye sight is week. Kindly suggest wht should I do?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms.

The most likely cause of your headaches is migraine.

Migraine causes headaches on one side of head, associated with nausea or vomiting. There may be increased sensitivity to light or sound. Excessive computer use can also aggravate headache episodes.

Since you have frequent episodes of headache, you should be on preventive medications such as flunarizine or divalproex to reduce the severity and frequency of headaches.

In addition, you can take diclofenac or rizatriptan tablets to get relief from headache.
