What Causes Hearing Impairment, Pain And Dark Discharge In The Left Ear?

about 10 days ago, i started to feel a blockage in my left ear, coupled with loss of hearing. I tried to clear it, to no avail. I saw my general practitioner who saw what he said looked like deterioration of the edges of the eardrum. I have an appointment next week with an ENT. Hearing is still compromised by about 60-70%, now starting to experience a kind of pulsing pain, and i notice a dark discharge in the ear canal. 2

Yes you are on right treatment, looking for an appointment with an ENT, please do not try to clear your ears with anything inside them!!! You can make it worse, if you are having complication try to visit a doctor as fast as you can, cause you can escalate to something worse than this.

Otitis media is a group of inflammatory diseases of the middle ear. The common cause of all forms of otitis media is dysfunction of the Eustachian tube. The reason why is getting worse its because you are trying to clean it and in the process you are taking bacterias to the ear.

You must go to a doctor!
