What Causes Hearing Loss After Diagnosed With Malaria?

Please am rukaya from Africa,I ve a four year old son who recently had malaria ,through that we learnt he has lost his hearing right now my son can t hears you when u talk to him and am very worried about him .Cos of his situation his father has left as cause he thinks nothing good will come out of him.Please thank you very listening to me .God bless you

No studies suggestive of malaria cause deafness, but few cases with falcifarum malaria developed hearing loss (cause not known). But some times anti malarial drugs like quinine, mefloquine, chloroquine may cause hearing loss.

So please consult your doctor for the right diagnosis and treatment.
