What Causes Hearing Loss After Head Injury?

hi.. my father had an accidental head injury on 21 days earlier ct scan repot shows little blod clot at that time but the latest report shows that it was almost gone but my dad has some hearing problem now acctually he thinks his left ear has been blocked i.e no sound entering through it but there is no pain.

hello,thanks for your query, hearing loss after head injury could be due to simple impacted wax, tympanic memebrane rupture, ossicular distruption, inner ear damage due to concussion, ototoxic medications,hearing nerve damage. the root cause can be evaluated by detailed ent examination and audiometry tests. kindly visit an ent surgeon.all the best. take care.
