What Causes Hearing Loss After Putting Debrox Drops In The Ears?

I was at urgent care yesterday with ear pain. They had to clean the wax out of my ears to see if there was an infection. They couldn t clear the left ear because the wax was attached to the ear drum and it was very painful. The dr told me to get Debrox and use that at home to help clear this ear out. I put the Debrox drops in this morning and flushed it out and I cannot hear out of my ear now. Is this normal? I tried it a second time a few hours later with the same result. Should I go back to the dr or will my hearing eventual return?

Hello,

Slight hard of hearing can happen with debriox. Generally, it will settle by itself. If symptoms persist better to consult a Consult an ent specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
