What Causes Hearing Loss And Swelling Of Lymph Nodes?
hi. my wife has been suffering hearing loss to the point where her right ear is completely blocked. now the left ear is losing its hearing. the doctor says its earwax?? we've cleaned her ears at least 5 times now and nothing. the doctor also said take sudafed for a few days and it'd get better. it hasnt. now my wifes lymph nodes are becoming swollen. she has been taking aspirin and sudafed, so we don't know whether she's been running a fever or not. it's been in the normal range.

As per your query you have hearing loss and swelling of lymph nodes. Well sometimes infection occurs due to reasons like meniere's disease , tonsillitis , inner ear infection. You should maintain cleanliness of area. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper diagnosis. Doctor will examine with otoscope , order CT scan, hearing loss tests and MRI. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 10 days along with anti inflammatory medications. Doctor may prescribe hearing aid.
