What Causes Hearing Of Tiny Sound During Walking, Running, surrounding Loud Sounds?
After a swim 2 weeks ago, I started hearing this tinny sound in my right ear. It hear/feel it when walking/running or when sounds are loud. Normal level conversation/sounds are not an issue, but as soon as it reaches a certain pitch/level it sounds tinny (slightly distorted). Hard to explain. Saw my doctor the other day and she suggested getting a hearing testing to see if there is fluid behind the eardrum. if there was fluid, and would have thought that my normal hearing would be much more impaired. Any other ideas as to what it could be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You need to have a pure tone audiogram and Impedance audiogram. You should get your ear examined by ENT surgeon. The sound you are having is known as tinnitus. There are several causes for tinnitus.
At first, you have to carry out these tests, and then we will decide how to make the diagnosis. You should also have an endoscopy of the nose and see the back of the nose.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
