What Causes Heart Flutters And Breathlessness?
I have heart futters and at the same time I stop breathing, like my lungs shut down, then I have to cough to start back breathing again, this happens about once per week or every two weeks, should I be concerned? I have been to doctor all tests came back fine.

With this presentation, you really do not need to worry so much. This type of breathing (seems to be Cheyne stock breathing) can be a sign of an underlying problem. It can also occur normally in people especially those living in high altitudes. If there were an underlying disease, you may be having some other symptoms like breathlessness on exertion or at rest, orthopnea (difficulty breathing when lying), fatigue, cough, nausea, vomiting, severe headache or high blood pressure.
