What Causes Heart Palpitations After Smoking Marijuana?

I ve been experiencing heart palpitations which I know I can trigger by smoking marijuana. right now I have on a heart monitor for 24 hrs and if I know my heart beats irregularly when I m high should I do it when I have this monitor on so they can see what happens? however I have to write down what I did and what happened so id have to say smoked marijuana and palpitations occurred. is it worth it?

Marijuana is cannabis and the drug is known to produce intense excitation and may even precipitate psychosis in some susceptible individuals. You have suffered severe palpitations after smoking marijuana and probably this is precipitation of panic attack. I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for these symptoms.

Anti anxiety drugs like Beta Blockers especially Propranolol or Atenolol can help to reduce your symptoms of severe palpitations. For relief benzodiazepines can also help if taken on SOS basis. If any symptoms of paranoid ideations, suspiciousness develop report to a psychiatrist immediately. Take the drugs as per prescription only.

Avoid smoking marijuana in future as it may result in severe complications.
