whenever i drink alcohol, for several hours afterwards and especially throughout the night my heart rate increases dramatically and i experience extreme hard racing and anxiety throughout the night which will always prevent me from sleeping. what can i do to decrease my heart rate again when this happens?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you heart palpitations and anxiety after drinking alcohol which is due to low blood pressure and low sugar levels in your body. There could be problems in nerves supplying the heart . I would suggest you not to panic much. you should avoid drinking alcohol and you should improve your diet. Take diet rich in multivitamins along with plenty of fluids to detoxify your body. You should visit cardiologist once and get complete Hemogram , Serum TSH, Fasting and Postprandial Blood sugars, Treadmill test and ECHO tests done to rule out underlying cardiac pathology.
