What Causes Heart Palpitations And Shivering After Taking Clarithromycin?
hello doctor. I had bad flu last few days and taking clarithromycin 250mg twice a day. I have been facing heart palpitations together with shivering sensation. the heart beat is very bad and very fasf and I tried to calm down and it took a while to go down and I couldn t sleep after this. I am a lupus patient and on 3mg steroid per day. pls let me know what caused this and it is anthing to do with heart attack. thank you.

You are suffering from heart palpitations and shivering after taking Clarithromycin, that was prescribed to you by your treating doctor for flu. Some people who are sensitive to clarithromycin do experience symptoms of anxiety, bloating , restlessness, shakiness, palpitations, light headedness, atrial fibrillation, arrhythmia, etc.
