What Causes Heart Palpitations And Skipped Heartbeat?

doc hello I have been experancing heart flutters and skipped beatsfor about 9 years now. every year iget an ekg and it is normal and last year I had a normal nuclear stress test and a normal echo cardiogram so I am at witts end I am going thru a lot of stress with my wife having parkinsons disease the doctor feels thatthis could be the problem I would like your input mike

Hi,

Definitely, as your EKG, echocardiogram and nuclear stress test are all normal, the chances of your having a cardiac illness are minimal. Of course, your symptoms may be due to anxiety and/or depression. You are advised to consult a psychiatrist for your problems. Holter monitoring may be helpful in detecting heart flutters and skipped beats, in your case, if present.
