What Causes Heart Palpitations And White Stool Discharge After Taking Beer?

Hi, I believe I m allergic to some forms of alcohol but I am unsure. When ingesting a small amount (50-100 ml) of red wine I would get very very severe stomach pains, vomiting, dizziness, and extreme fatigue lasting 24-72 hours. Each event appears to be worse than the last. I have cut out red wine completely. However, yesterday I had the same symptoms with only 100 ml of beer (albeit a new beer). This time the pain was accompanied by heart palpitations and white stool. I m unsure of what this could be and what might be the trigger for these events. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

You are allergic to red wine as it caused you severe stomach pain, vomiting, dizziness and fatigue. You had beer (100ml) and started having pain in the stomach associated with heart palpitations and white stools. Red wine is high in histamine and sulfites, thus it can trigger systemic reactions. If you are histamine intolerant drinking red wine can cause you pain in the stomach, head, throat or chest.

Being intolerant to sulfites can cause a severe reaction resulting in pain in the chest, along with chest tightness and shortness of breath. Sulfite intolerance can trigger anaphylaxis causing your blood vessels to dilate to an unhealthy size, causing a drop in blood pressure with increased heart rate and may cause shock/syncope. Avoid taking it.

You are having white stool, it may indicates lack of bile or biliary obstruction. This may be due to medical conditions like liver dysfunction, jaundice, hepatomegaly, tumors, cirrhosis or hepatitis. It has been seen that antacids too can turn the stool white. You are suggested to avoid taking red wine or beer & get clinically examined by a GP, get all liver function tests, blood tests, imaging tests done to detect any developing liver problem so that it can be treated at the earliest.

Take home made boiled food for a couple of days to help liver repair. Take food good for the liver, take liver tonics. Avoid oily, spicy junk food, trans fat, refined flour, red meat, full fat dairy products. Take well cooked whole cereals, lean meat, lots of veggies, fruits, berries, etc. Do regular walking, maintain healthy weight and take at least 8 hours of sleep for better liver function.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
