What Causes Heart Palpitations When Resting On The Left Side?

Hi there. For about two years I have had back pain issues, mid back. I have had an MRI of my lower back and the report was negative for a problem. I went to PT for months. I had a lipoma removed from under my should blade six weeks ago. In the last week I have heart palpitations when I rest on my left side. I checked my pulse and it becomes irregular but when I turn to my right it go away. Supine position or semi fowlers. The pulse almost feels like I m having PVCs. I m a former Paramedic. I have no other symptoms. I plan on calling my primary health care provider this week after the holiday... Any hints????

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that palpitations can be because of gastritis also, induced by heavy and spicy food. You can get your ECG done and consult accordingly.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
