What Causes Heart Palpitations While Having High Cholesterol?

I am 72 and had a stress test about 8 months ago and did very good I have high cholesterol but 100 triglyseride count. (Spelled wrong) and don t eat beef I have always been active but have noticed my heart skips a beat every 6 or so beats. Just wondering about the heart skipping
