What Causes Heart Palpitations With Extra Heartbeats?
Hello I am a female 56 years old. I am 5'4 and weigh 200 pounds.
Recently I had a 48 hour Holter monitor. My doctor says my heart has "extra beats." Sometimes I do feel heart palpitations especially when the weather is hot and humid. This is my only symptom. She wants me to see a cardiologist. What do you think?

Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated.
You have to undergo a detailed cardiologist and get serial ECG to rule out cardiac arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm).
