What Causes Heart Palpitations?

I'm 19years old, proportional in weight, recently my heart has been beating in a funny rhythm and feels like its beating in my throat, my medical history is fine, my brother however has a congenital heart defect which and had a fontants procedure at the age of 4 to correct, this was 20 years ago. My heart beats like this at random times of the day and lasts or different periods of time. Sometimes it happens when I am just sat down relaxing and under no stress etc. Just wondering if this needs to be checked out atall, regards.

Hi,

This procedure is used in congenital heart disease with a univentricular heart which blood of right heart to pulmonary arteries through superior vena cava or inferior vena cava.

How is your brother now? Don't worry it is not run in families. But you may be suffering from anxiety neurosis or arrhythmia. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Avoid stress related activities, use tablet alprazolam under your doctor guidance. avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol. Please consult your physician/cardiologist they will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
