What Causes Heart Skipping Beats While Smoking?

I'm 20 6 ft about 200pounds had slight ahstma when I was younger but never needed an inhaler after 6th grader, I was born a month premature and I was way underweight and had underdeveloped lungs. My question is when I smoke why does it feel like my heart skips and I can breathe properly? Is it related to anything mentioned above?
