Hi,

Increase heart rate more than normal one is called the tachycardia and it can be sinus in origin means it can be physiological if does not have any symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, fatigue, in presence of this symptoms heart rate of 142 beat per minuets need to be ruled out for cardiac disease and for the EKG is most advisable condition need to be ruled out for ventricular tachycardia.
