What Causes Heat Intolerance And Itching All Over The Body?

Hello, For the last 2-3 months I have noticed an increase in heat intolerance. When I become overheated I have intense itching all over my body, I have never had this before and it occurs when I am in the heat outside, when I am exercising inside and even with hot flashes. I am 61 years old and went through menopause at age 45. What could be causing this sudden problem?Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

There are many causes of heat intolerance.

One of the most common causes of heat intolerance is medication.

Allergy, blood pressure, and decongestant medications are among the most common.

Allergy medications can inhibit your body's ability to cool itself by preventing sweating.

If you are already taking any medication I suggest to consult your doctor.

Meanwhile, Isuggest cool showers and staying I cool rooms.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
