What Causes Heaviness In Chest And Dry Cough Post Recovery From Whooping Cough?

I recently had whooping cough and after a round of Cipro, I stopped coughing. However, after 2 weeks I still have a heaviness in my chest and an intermittent dry cough. Is this due to the extended effects? And if so, is it normal to continually experience symptoms? For how long?

Hi.

Yes it could quite be due to that, I would recommend continuing your bronchodilators and expectorants, along with sips of warm water through the day. Make sure you visit your doctor for a re-evaluation and ruling out any other possibilities.

Best wishes.
