What Causes Heaviness In Chest, nausea And Loss Of Appetite?

Chest feels heavy. But no cough. It s not acid reflex because those meds do not make it any better. Nausea, and absolute loss of appetite. Been going on for about 2 month s. And new dehydration. I do not have asthma. And am 38 female. Inactive thyroid. And no other medical conditions.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

I have gone through your medical history and feel sorry for the situation you are in.

Feeling your chest being heavy might be related to either heart or lung problems. I highly suggest to run further tests to rule out these problems:
- ECG
- cardiac echo
- stress test
- chest X-ray
- thyroid function test

Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed. Meanwhile, I advise to:
- avoid coffee/energetic drinks
- drink chamomile/valerianna tea
- avoid oily/carbonated/high calories foods/drinks

Hope it helped!
