What Causes Heaviness In The Chest And Slight Temperature?

Hi I was camping last night and my sleeping bag was burning from embers on the fire. My head was under the sleeping bag and I woke to myself inhaling all the fumes whilst my head was stil under covers..I have no idea how long I was inhaling the fumes for but after 8 hours my chest is feeling very heavy and I have a slight temperature...is this a cause for big concern??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

In most cases, the symptoms should improve and there should not be any long term effects but if the discomfort is severe or there is any shortness of breath then you should be seen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
