Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The symptoms you describe could by of respiratory, cardiovascular or digestive origin.A normal echo cardiogram may exclude cardiac origin.
-Possible digestive cause may be Gastroesophageal reflux
-Possible respiratory causes may include
asthma, bronchopneumopathy, chronic obstructive bronchopneumpathy.
I will suggest you see a Pneumologist for examination.Tests like a chest x ray, spirometry/peak flow, H pylori, full blood count may be requested.Your treatment will depend on the underlying cause. You may try the following measures in the meantime:
-Continue with
steroid (sprays better as minimal side effects)
-Frequent sips of water
-An anti-
histamine like benadryl
-A
mucolytic like carbocysteine 5%
-If symptoms of
acid reflux or heart burns, you add an anti-secretory like omeprazole
-Avoid environmental irritants like smoke, dust and cold
Your Pneumologist will take care of an etiologic management.
Hope this will help
Best regards
