What Causes Heaviness In The Head And Pounding Heart Beats?

After medium exertion i.e. lifting and carrying 25 - 45 pounds, my heart thumps , and I feel like it is fluttering , and I feel heaviness in my head. These are symptoms that have occurred in the past 8 months, but seem to be increasing mores in the past 3 months. what is causing this? I am 66 years old, and am quite physically active. Yoga, walking, dancing, horseback riding.
