What Causes Heavy And Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?

Hello, I have been having problems with my period for a month. I have been bleeding since August 1st and I m still on/off bleeding. I ve also been seeing big clots in the toilet after I use it. I m really nervous as to what s wrong with me. Please help me.

Hello,

More details are needed to evaluate your situation. There are different conditions that cause heavy irregular bleeding. It can be anatomical issues such as fibromyoma, thickened endometrial lining, etc.

Also, a hormone disbalance is possible especially if you are around 50 this may be a sign of perimenopause.

Do an ultrasound and a colposcopy to get evaluated.
