What Causes Heavy And Sore Periods With Hot And Cold Chills?

Hello, I hope you can help. At the beginning of this month I had the flu or so I think and felt pretty miserable as I have never had the flu before. In the last few days the same symptons have come back, along with a very heavy and sore period. I am having hot and cold spells and almost every bone in my body aches especially round my ribcage at the back and lower back ( more of a constant cramp ). I am 43 years of age.
