What Causes Heavy Bleeding After Having Pap Smear?

Im 30 years old and had my first smear last thurs, i finished my period the friday before. The nurse explained i may have some slight spotting that day but after the test she said there was no bleeding, and i didnt get any spotting that day or the day after, but Saturday night i had slight bleeding and sunday, then a bit heavier on monday and today, im still bleeding now

**

1. since PAP smear can irritate the cervix and also after a pap test many women have experience a surge of blood to their cervix and reproductive organs so it may be a normal/natural phenomenon unless there is/are associated immune problems, HIV, early sexual activity, pregnancy.

2. If the bleeding increases or cots form, contact your physician.
