What Causes Heavy Bleeding After Periods Followed By Yellow Discharge?

Hi, about a week after my period I began heavily bleeding for about two days. Now, about a week and a half later I had very stringy, sticky, pale yellow discharge. Im not sure if it matter but I also came on with a small cold. Just wondering what could be going on. Thanks.
