What Causes Heavy Bleeding And Itching Sensation On Vagina While On Cerazette?

Hi there, I have been taking cerazette for the last 3 years, I have had issues with heavy bleeding and have some other tablets yo take when this happens, last week I got a smallish bleed, then sat morning I woke with a really sore and itchy vagina, my bleed continued but was quite dark brown i thought it wad thrush and took a canesten duo, bleeding since continued quite heavily and soreness and itching not going away since taking duo on mon. Hello,

The Cerazette consists of Desogestrel as content and used for prevention of pregnancy off the counter level. There are ample number of side effects of Cerazette, common one is being spotting and irregular heavy bleeding in some of the cases. However, an itching sensation sounds to be concern for possible fungal infection most likely involving vagina or cervix. Kindly take a vaginal or cervical swab and get checked into microbiology lab for best possible guidelines of cure.
