What Causes Heavy Bleeding And Sharp Lower Back Pain During Menstruation?

I started my cycle late Monday night it wasn't heavy bleeding. While I was at work last night I had sharp pains in my lower back and real painful cramping. After that came home and I had stopped bleeding now it's just a little when I wipe, but I am still having bad cramping. I had my tubes tied after my daughter that is 8 years old! I need to go to the doctor but I don't have health insurance please help!

Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com!

I really appreciate your concern. Lower back pain during heavy bleeding is common. Heavy bleeding may be due to sex hormone imbalance which can be triggered by stress or other physiological conditions. So you can have some analgesics like mefenemic acid for your lower back pain. Take care.

Thank you.
