Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I appreciate your concerns.
I have read your notes.
With the D&C procedure some women experience bleeding just for a day or two and this is normal. What is of concern is the brownish discharge that you are having since 12th September. Brownish discharge that you have can be due to several reasons like ovulation, cervical erosion, retained
pregnancy tissue etc. It is extremely important that you have an
ultrasound to assess for the possibility of retained pregnancy tissue in the
uterus as this may cause infection. You are aware of this complication.
You must get an ultrasound done now.
Normally pregnancy test remains positive for 2-3 weeks after
abortion. Pregnancy test can be negative even in the presence of remnants in the
uterus. So don't do any pregnancy test. It is not helpful.
I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
