I am 17 and have been on the pill for almost a year. My last period lasted for two and a half weeks. That have never happened to me before. I am not supposed to get my period for another week, but today I went to the washroom and there was blood everywhere. This wasn't like my normal period blood, it was more like actual blood, as if I cut myself. There was so much of it. I took my pill a few hours late today and yesterday, but I've done that before and nothing happened. I don't understand what is going on.
Pills will interfere with the endometrium and uterine functioning, hence it is quite possible that the reason for heavy bleeding you had is due to taking of r pill.
If the bleeding is continuing to be heavy, I would suggest you consult your gynecologist, otherwise, you may need not worry too much.
Since you are saying you had bleeding, I suspect you were due for your periods. If you were not due, then again you need to see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
