What Causes Heavy Bleeding With Pain After An Abortion?

I had an abortion 4 days ago and now I am cramping and hurting very bad. The pain medicine the doctor gave me isnt working. They said my bleeding should be no more than my regular period but it is much heavier. Are these signs of an incomplete abortion?

yes dear.there may be possibility of incomplete abortion.it means that there may be some retained product of conception or fragments of placenta that should come out.its normal process of uterus to expell out the retained products in the form of bleeding and indirectly telling u that there is something left in ur uterus thats not good for u as ur fetus has already been aborted.so its cramping and bleeding.
