What Causes Heavy Bleeding?

Hi. I was 7 days late for my period & had a lot of other pregnancy symptoms - lots of headaches specifically but I just started bleeding heavily today so I think I got my period. I had taken numerous pregnancy tests which were all negative. I really thought I was pregnant. Im so confused because my period is normally never late like that. Should I schedule a Dr appt tomorrow to get checked out?

Hello,

Because the pregnancy test came out negative, it is unlikely you are pregnant. It happens sometimes that the periods may be later than usual even if a woman is not pregnant.
If you are bleeding too much or you are concerned you may have a visit with the doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
