Hi, I have been on cerazette for 5 months now which stopped my periods completely up to 2 weeks ago when i had light spotting for 3 days. I started what i thought was a period 3 days ago with bleeding which quickly turned into a heavy brown discharge. Is this normal? I didn t experience it when on cerazette before for 5 months but it did not completely stop my period either last time. Thanks
Hello Looking at your history, it is suggestive of UTI or PID, Threatened abortion or ectopic pregnancy. So I would advise you to get urine test for culture and sensitivity, you may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor since I can't physically examine you to get some clues, I would advise you to consult a gynaecologist for an examination and an ultrasound to rule out other possibilities,
Maintain good hygiene Have plenty of fluids who have will help by flushing off the urogenital tract. You should avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks Complete abstinence of smoking and alcohol is required
Hope this answers your question Best wishes
