Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Heavy menstrual bleeding could be caused by many medical conditions some of which are:
Hormonal imbalances, dysfunction of ovaries, uterine fibroids/polyps/cancer,
pregnancy complications, IUD, medications, PID
endometriosis....
There are just so many causes.I will suggest you see a Gynecologist for examination and investigation since the problem is recurrent. A pelvic ultrsound will be very useful.
Since you are preparing for a retreat, if menses should start at that time, many of your plans and activities may be distorted.I will suggest you try these pills during that time to postpone your menses.
Norethisterone 5mg.You may take 1 tablet 3 times per day 3 days to the day you are expecting your menses and continue till you feel it is time to have your menses.Your menses will come 2 to 3 days after the last dose.I will however say this drug should be taken this way only when an occasion is very important and should not be a habit.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
