What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding While Suffering From Irregular Periods?

I am anemic and have had irregular period before but this one was going away by the 7th day but I had sexual intercourse and it got heavier the following day and now it s almost gushing out and it s the 9th day I m just a little concerned. I ve been really stressed out lately too so idek what s going on. I have to change my pad every 5 hours

By your history and description, possibility of hormonal imbalance or uterine infection is more.
So better to consult gynecologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of vagina and uterus
2. Hormone levels
3. Microscopic examination of discharge.
Avoid unprotected Intercourse as this can cause infection.
You may need hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones are normalize, you will get normal periods.
Avoid moisture and perspiration in private parts. Keep proper hygiene of private parts.
Wash genital area with warm water and betadine.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
