General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Madam,
I am of the opinion that heavy menstrual periods in your age is not such a cause for concern. You are approaching your menopause and thus hormonal imbalance will manifest itself into variety of symptoms such as heavy periods, or hot flashes, or dysmenorrhoea etc.
Thank you
Dr Ashish
