What Causes Heavy Menstrual Periods,facial Swelling And Weight Gain?

My hands, face and stomach have been swelling for several months and getting worse. I can hardly get my rings off. I have gained like 30lbs in the last couple of years. I do have thyroid issues and am on medicine for that. My stomach pressure feels the same as when I was pregnant, which I am not. I had my tubes tied in 2003. My periods are heavier now than ever. I have alot of lower back pain. I also have acid reflux with every meal if I do not take the medicine for that also. I feel like that medicine is just covering up my problem. I really feel as though my gallbladder is having issues. Please give me your opinion. I am under a doctor's care but she says to eat less and exercise more. I am only 4' 11" and I weigh 152. I have never been heavy in my entire life. I weighed 127 and 137 when I was pregnant. I know something else is going on with my health. Thank you so much. Kelli
